Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a process and outcome that focuses on good design that serves the needs and abilities of all people. Bottom line, it’s a concept that supports equity in education and embraces diversity. UDL is often viewed as a way to accommodate students with disabilities but that narrow view is far from the truth. Universal design is synonymous with good design. All Let’s Go Learn’s products use the UDL design process and consequently all our products are accessible for all students, whether in MTSS/RTI Tier 1, 2, or 3.
The guidelines for UDL include information on how each learning object can provide multiple means for engagement, for representation, and for action and expression. For more information go to the CAST website for The UDL Guidelines.
