Let’s Go Learn Reflects on an Inspiring Experience at the  2024 Special Education Legislative Summit

Washington, D.C. – July 2024 – Let’s Go Learn, a leader in diagnostic educational assessments and personalized learning, recently had the privilege of sponsoring the 2024 Special Education Legislative Summit (SELS) in Washington, D.C. The event, held from July 29th to August 1st, 2024, was an incredible experience filled with powerful advocacy and collaboration.

SELS brought together educators, advocates, and leaders from across the nation to champion change in special education policies with members of Congress. This year’s summit was transformative, as attendees engaged in meaningful dialogue and addressed pressing issues directly with their representatives.

The California SELS team visited the office of Representative Ken Calvert to discuss critical issues in education. Pictured on the far left is Teresa Copple, the 2023 CEC Special Education Teacher of the Year, and on the far right is Richard Capone, CEO of Let's Go Learn. Key topics included the ongoing importance of IDEA, the urgent need for special education funding, and the growing demand for mental health resources.

The event kicked off on July 29th with a rich agenda, including advocacy training, policy discussions, and invaluable networking opportunities. A highlight of the summit was the Hill visit on July 30th, where participants met in person with congressional offices, aligning their efforts with the in-person policies of Congress.

Let’s Go Learn was proud to sponsor SELS, reinforcing our commitment to advancing special education through innovative diagnostic solutions and dedicated advocacy. We are passionate about empowering educators and policymakers with the tools and insights needed to make informed decisions that positively impact students with special needs.
